Change Accounting Calendar in PRODUCTION Environment

There is a requirement to change the Accounting Calander from Calendar Year to Fiscal Year... from "Jan-Dec" cal to "Apr-Mar" from 2014. There are transactions in the subledgers for year 2013. How to go about it? How to handle 3 periods Jan to Mar of 2014, while making 2014 cal from April month? Don't want to create a new ledger and don't want to go for re-implementation.

There is a need to change the accounting calendar from calendar year to Fiscal year...from Jan-Dec calendar to Apr-Mar Calendar from next year, 2014. There are transactions in the subledgers for the past and present year. Don't want to create a new ledger with new Apr-Mar calendar and doing the re-implementation, which is time-consuming and not cost effective.
