WebCenter Content (UCM) 11g - change metadata type

Hi,
In WebCenter Content (UCM) 11g, i need to change a metadata type from "Long Text" to "Integer" and converting the related contents. Obviously, i cannot made this change with "Configuration Manager".

Can anyone suggest a "migration pattern" in order to achieve the goal?

If i have to create a new "integer" metadata, how can i copy (and convert) all metadata's contents from string to integer (i cannot made the copy into DB-tables with SQL because all metadata are indexed by Oracle Text ).
