Issue with scanning a GTIN code printed on a label

Hi,
We have boxes with labels printed on them with the 14 digit GTIN code. Example 1 00 77355 17981 8.

This GTIN value is setup within Oracle cross reference as Xref type = GTIN and oracle item # as 0041 with UOM =  CTM (1 CTM = 20 EACH)

While scanning this label with the scanner for picking the box, the scanner is reading the label code as 10077355179818

We expect it to translate the item # field to Oracle item # i.e. 0041 and the qty field as 20 and UOM as EA.

Currently, this is not working as expected. Is there anything that we are missing?
