Extra (check) digit on LTO3 tape barcodes

Hi there,

I am experiencing a problem with IBM LTO3 tapes. For some reason out SL8500 library won't accept some LTO3 tapes. I suspected the barcodes might be the problem so I scanned with a hand scanner and I noticed that there is an extra digit at the end of each barcode.

It seems to be only affecting tapes beginning with HR:

HR7488L39
HR7499L3B
HR7560L30
HR7339L34
HR7564L34
HR7306L3+

Has anyone seen this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
