Decimal Dust

Has anyone heard of the concept of decimal dust?

The Org is WMS enabled

We seem to have a lot of issues with miniscule quantities. I believe from research and some SR work that it may be due to Mat trans rounding to 5 decimal places compared to Lot specific conversion going to much higher (20 even). The truncating in Mat trans causes excess 'dust' which causes problems at shipping as it generates misicule line quantities which block shipping because of deviation factor issues

Does anyone know if the profile INV: Detect Truncation on UOM Conversion does anything to alleviate

I haven't been able to progress satisfactorily through SRs
