Could data of Activity be inserted or updated?

Hi all,
When trying to update data of record type Activity, I get exception with message "Method 'SetFieldValue' of business component 'Action' (integration component 'Activity') for record with search specification '[Id] = "AVKA-X2ALP"' returned the following error:"Operation Failed: Create. Record Type: Position. Access Level: Read-Only (SBL-DAT-00279)"(SBL-EAI-04375)". It seams that my first record in this batch has something error. But I can't find "Position" in my data of text type.
Does that mean the whole record type 'Activity' is read-only or any field in it has data which can't be updated?
