Licensing for WebLogic and EBS

EBS 12.2 uses Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS) instead of Oracle Containers for Java (OC4J). Customers' existing E-Business Suite licences will cover these requirements. Existing E-Business Suite licences include iAS EE, which in turn includes WLS Basic. It is my understanding that WLS Basic covers the use of WLS in EBS 12.2.

Does this only apply to uncustomised EBS environments

We are currently running 11.5.10.2 and are planning an upgrade to R12.2. If we are operating in a customised environemnt in 11.5.10.2, can we also operate a customised environment on R12 using WLS Basic or is it the case that to run a customised R12.2, WLS enterprise is required?
