Are all CPU type kernel files availbale after installation of database server? Can a DB server in a

Situation:

We have DB 11.2.0.3 on a VMware virtual server running SLES 11.2. This virtual server resides on a physical host with an Intel 4-core processor. The virtual server was replicated onto another physical host with an AMD 4-core processor. The replication tool used is VMware® vCenter™ Site Recovery Manager™ (SRM). Replication is done on-line, meaning: the source server and all databases are up and running. The target server is not running however, it is in a kind of stand-by status.

After cutting the connection in SRM between source and target and starting up the target virtual server, the Linux server itself and the Oracle Listener started up perfectly well. In earlier attempts the databases themselves started up alright as well which I consider a fortunate incident!. The last time we replicated and ran our startup procedure the databases did not startup well. We focused on one database to restore/recover from RMAN backup. This database of 50 GB took 4.5 hours to restore and recover. After recovery it worked perfectly well, yet slow. (This would answer the second question in the
