How to determine pool free space

 I need to know how to reliably report the amount of free space per pool. Currently all shares are configured with a set quota and an identical reservation when they are created. Bottom line, I need to know when it is time to add more disk to a pool by knowing when the allocated/reserved space exceeds a threshold. I think the Administration Guide is more confusing than helpful in this matter.
