Is the read-only data the whole record type 'Activity' or some fields in 'Activity'?

Hi all,
When trying to update data in record type 'Activity' by SOAP API, I get exception with message 'Method 'SetFieldValue' of business component 'Action' (integration component 'Activity') for record with search specification '[Id] = "AVKA-X2ALP"' returned the following error:"Operation Failed: Create. Record Type: Position. Access Level: Read-Only (SBL-DAT-00279)"(SBL-EAI-04375)'.
Is the whole 'Activity' read-only? Or are there any field in 'Activity' can't update data?
