Disk Slices Overlapping

Hi there,

I have inherited this old system that I was told is just trouble.

One of the things I have noticed it that everytime the system is restarted, some of this thik need to be fsck's up to 4 times to fix the problems.

I have dug a bit and found that the slices overlap.

The next one starts at the same number as the previous end.

Luckily the disk was well over-specked.

Not wanting to mess with it... would it be possible for me to allocate a dummy file at the end of each slice / prevent the system from writing data to the last few blocks in each slice?

Howdy, Stranger!
