Validation for unique serial number has failed

Hi Experts,

Can anybody help me in resolving the below install base interface error?

I am working with 11.5.9 version.

Error: Serial Number  is being updated to XXXXXX. This may have an impact in all upstream applications where the old Serial Number is referenced. Please update the references to point to the new Serial Number. Passed Serial Number (XXXXXXX) violates uniqueness with in Inventory items. Validation for unique serial number has failed.
