Siebel Server Configuration Failed At Last Step with Error SBL-GEN-05004: Key was not found (Doc ID

Having the exact same issue (see below) with 8.1.1.10 new install on Windows Server 2008.

For the Service Account, we have a normal Windows domain account that is a member of the Local Administrators Group on the server, what other registry editing rights are needed?

Siebel Server Configuration Failed At Last Step with Error SBL-GEN-05004: Key was not found (Doc ID 1587702.1)

SYMPTOMS

When attempting to configure Siebel Server, it failed at last step and the following error occurs in the log file: SBL-GEN-05004: Key was not found

CAUSE

Registry editing rights was not given.

SOLUTION

After giving the rights for editing the registry, issue is resolved.
