Live site public search using external search engines - still going against Lucene Index

 Hello, we would like to configure autonomy to use OOTB Lucene index on delivery. Developer guide 43-7 section, page 813 states we can configure this.SearchEngineMetaDataConfig: stores the search config and by default it has Lucene.

Could you list out the steps that need to be done in order to use external search engines like Autonomy to use OOTB lucene index on delivery?
