Modify Future Repost

If we modifiy the Repost program by looking at the different commitment days (customization - Look up on Branch and Order type) when future committed orders are being reposted, is there any other processes needs to be modified?

In our testing, we have noticed that only the sales order application (any change at order) is moving the order back to future commit after the repost program moved the order to soft commt. No other process is moving the order back to future commit.

Any comments on this kind of customization. Is there any diffence between sales order inventory commitment and other inventory commitment processes.
