Reserved qty is greater than Ordered qty on sales order line

Reserved qty is greater than Ordered qty... A sales order has been booked where the line qty is 3, reserved the line, now it is noticed that the Reserved qty(4) is more than the Ordered qty.

I am assuming that this is due to data corruption/unusual system behaviour.

Can you correct me if wrong.
