Maintaing statistics on large partioned tables in 11gr2

 Hi ,
 what is the best  method in collecting  and Maintaining statistics on large partitioned tables in version 11.2.0.3 or 11gr2.. we have partioned  table with 911 million rows and a process is getting stuck on this table due to poor statistics..i can see docs only available for 11gr1

Please suggest a strategy in collecting and maintaing statistics for this table.this table is partitioned and sub partitioned.
