11g Grid Control Console not displaying in Internet Explorer

I have an 11g Grid Control environment that has been running smoothly for a few years now however last week we are now unable to connect to our Grid Control Console from internet explorer however it comes up just fine with FireFox.  The OMS and DB servers are running just fine so I think this is an ie issue. 

We are running IE Version:  8.0.7601.17514

 

The error message from IE is

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

and

The secure web server "grid control web server" might be unavailable, or might not support a secure connection
