How to setup password expiration grace period notification?

We are using EBS version 12.1.3

We have setup EBS application user account to expire every 30 days. There is no system profile option for setting the password grace period. Is there a way in the application that we can setup for the users to get notifications before their password expires?

There is a note out there on this website talk about the bug in version 11 that has this issue. But since we are on version 12, so I am wondering if there is anything out there for r12?

Gurus, please advise. Thank you very much.
