RESTfull web services on 8.0.0x

 Hi.
I've been presented with a task to integrate our Siebel 8.0.0.12 with another system, which only supports either WCF or RESTfull web services. As far as i understand REST is only supported on 8.1.x line starting with 8.1.1.4 and this feature hasn't been backported to 8.0.x line. What are my options here, can i still do this within Siebel, or i will have to build some kind of custom web services proxy between Siebel and this system ?
