Cancelled PO's showing non-zero Open Amount

 Hi,
Do Purchase Orders always show up with non-zero Open Amount even after cancellation?

All Purchase Orders in the environment i am supporting still show Open Amount<>0 even after they have been cancelled (LTTR=980) from the front-end program.
