maxlog history vs control_file_record_keep_time

Hi,

Please find below.Though I am aware I just want to get more clarity on this.

MAXLOGHISTORY 9344 shows in my control file.

-->It is applicable to only RAC databases? will it applicable to Non RAC databases also?

-->if so what is the significance of this parameter? what is this 9344 value means.

-->Is there any relation between maxloghistory and control_file_record_keep_time.

-->If MAXLOGHISTORY is zero what is the impact.Can RMAN restore and recovery commnad can work (i dont have any catalog).
