ETTFB recall VTV size

Hi community,

when reading the white paper about ETTFB, a question came up:

"how does VSM treat the VTV when it is recalling it?"

I mean, normally a VTV will be recalled entirely, for a VTV with size 4GB, the whole 4GB will be recalled into the buffer. Is it also true using ETTFB?
ETTFB will give you the data 'right away', and the VTV will be read further on, so it knows when the data is full recalled (the end-of-data). Doesn't need to take 4GB place in the buffer...

We use maxvtvsize=4000 and a lot of VTVs do not have the entirely size filled up. So, if I want to recall that VTV, I do not need the whole 4GB, just the data residing on the VTV. Well yeah, this is true for all the VTVs ;-)

Howdy, Stranger!
