Data Guard Speacific Parameters Confirmation

 HI All, i am in the way of implementing Data guard. primary database is 10.2.0.5. now there are different parameters tat i ll use configure data guard. below are some of them for which i need your help and clarity.let me share history, production database was actually upgraded from oracle 8 to 10g2 (10.2.0.5). 

now my first and main concern is currently COMPATIBLE parameter value is 9.2.0 . i go throw with google,  but i could nt find any proper documentation about what minimum value should be for configuring data guard. what may be the problem that we can face due to 9.2.0 compatible parameter on 10.2.0.5 database. is there any data guard feature that we cannot achieve in presence of this value to compatible parameter. ??????????
