Posting_status in CN_COMMISSION_LINES_ALL in Oracle IncentiveCompensation

Hi Folks,
Please tell me how the status of Posting_Status can be null in CN_COMMISSION_LINES_ALL table. I observed it to be either or POSTED or UNPOSTED stating if records have been forwarded in pay run. But in my scenario I have too many records as null. Kindly provide more information on this.
