fatal: relocation error: file /lib/64/libnvpair.so.1 error

 I am trying to execute a simple "swap -l" on my SPARC-Enterprise-T5120 (Solaris 10) and I get the following error:
# swap -l
ld.so.0: swap: fatal: relocation error: file /lib/64/libnvpair.so.1: symbol xdr_u_short: referenced symbol not found


I checked and both files exist: 

/lib/64/libnvpair.so -> libnvpair.so.1 
/lib/64/libnvpair.so.1
