Total No. of Partitions on a Table

 

Hi,

How many maximum no. of partitions on a table we can create . Somewhere on docs i read it is 65536 and some says it is 1024k-1.

I am creating a table with 262144 and 65536 partitions . Its inserts are failing and on insert is is giving below error :-

ORA-12801: error signaled in parallel query server P019, instance ex3201dbadm03:DPODST023 (3)

ORA-14401: inserted partition key is outside specified partition
