Creating Item for P-Card Purchasing in Inventory

I need to record P-Card purchases in Enterprise Asset Management. One of the ways I could accomplish this is by creating an item in the inventory master and storing a large quantity of P-Card items in inventory. My problem is that we aren't licensed for inventory. My customer uses Oracle Purchasing and Enterprise Asset Management so we have access to shared inventory/limited inventory functionality. If I create an inventory item called P-Card and keep a balance in a sub-inventory of that item am I activating the inventory license? What I want to do is make misc. receipts into the subinventory
