extract hangs on startup in Initialized state

I am trying to start a golden gate extract process and it is hanging in an initialized state.
 GGSCI (proldb01.allegientsystems.com) 11> info E_OLTP1

EXTRACT    E_OLTP1   Initialized   2013-11-19 21:26   Status RUNNING
Checkpoint Lag       105:01:17 (updated 18:41:21 ago)
Log Read Checkpoint  Oracle Redo Logs

If I look at the source/golden gate repository database, the GG user is waiting on control file read.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
