Referencing dynamic user variable to drive rows does not work with shared hierarchy

 Hi all,
Here's the situation; there is a web form with level 0 of {dynamic user variable} in the row.  If the user chooses a parent (with stored members as descendants) as the dynamic user variable, the level 0 members under that parent will show up.  However, if a parent containing shared members is chosen, no rows return, even though they have data.

Thoughts appreciated.
