Dataguard patch SPU and ORACLE_HOME

Hello,i have to apply spu October 2013 in a dataguard environment (physical standby without  broker, oel6/11.2.0.3 entreprise).
Can i patch only once Oracle binaries and dataguard instances one by one or do i have to patch all dataguard instances at the same time ?
Similar question for mix-environement (standby db with standalone db) : can i have patched binairies with a not yet patched db ?
