Modifying GL Calendar Type

We currently have a calendar type called "Monthly" with 12 periods Starting JAN  to DEC assigned to the ledger. For the year 2014 i created a new calendar type called "Monthly-adj" with has 16 periods (JAN-DEC plus 4 adjustment periods) . This calendar Type is assigned to the same calendar.

When i try to open DEC-13. the open periods program fails with the following error:

orasfnmc:   oraslnr: 0  orasfnml: 0
orahoc: 0  ormoc:  0  oracoc: 0
