Update Quote Line Item fields with data captured in Product Configurator Session

Hi,
We have a business requirement to update Quote Line Item fields (like Price Override and a few custom extension fields) of a product that is customized using the configurator. Is there a way t o accomplish this requirement without the use of scripts? 

If using scripts on Configurator is the only way to go, could you provide information on the best approach to accomplish this requirement?
