Transposing data in Arabic or Hebrew

Hi,

We have translated our English finished good product names into 22 languages. It is quite an eclectic mix of languages, from Asian to European, through Middle Eastern languages. They are listed on page three of finished good details in PLM 9.3.1.0. These are text fields (25 character limit per field) and each language gets three data fields for its respective foreign language translation. Thus a finished good description could be up to 75 characters long.  This is the issue:

We are having trouble in either importing en masse or copying/pasting per line item the Arabic and Hebrew foreign languages; if they have an English word, a comma, parentheses or apostrophe. Also, we have issues when we export out these data fields, where once again the case consists of a translation which contains an English word, a comma, parentheses or apostrophe. We think this may be due to the fact that the Oracle database defines a text field to read from left to right, however Arabic and Hebrew are read from right to left.(??)

Howdy, Stranger!
