Attribute Mapping Method Always Equals "User Entered" in R12.1.2

When I create a new pricing attribute and I go to Attribute Linking and Mapping under Attribute Mapping Method it defaults to User Entered and the system won't let me change it. I need to use Attribute Mapping to link to selections made in CZ. Any suggestions on why the system will not allow me to select any thing other than User Entered? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
