US PAY: Self Service Direct Deposit - payroll

 I thought direct deposit self service checked for valid Transit Codes (ABA Routing Number) when an employee enters.  I have 2 employees that recently entered incorrect ABA routing numbers but it did not error on them.I checked an ABA verification website and they said they found no matching results for the ABA numbers.
