Looking for a methodology to perform sizing for hardware and database for a number of web requests

Hi,

I am looking for a methodology to perform sizing for hardware (Ram/Network/Disk/Processing power)/database(configuration/parameters) for a number of web requests :
option 1 : 8000 concurent web requests
option 2 : 3500 concurent web requests
