Does the AP server use shared memory (DISM or ISM)

Hi Experts
Could you please share me with your advice on the following issue.

Environment :EBS R12.1.3 on Solaris 10 local container

Does the AP server(web,forms concurrent server) use shared memory?
if yes,which is used, DISM or ISM?

DISM = Dynamic Intimate Shared memory
ISM=Intimate Shared Memory
