Need to update Journal Line Description for Historical Transactions

Hi All,
I have a scenario where i have to update the Journal Line Description for Historical Transactions by way of data fix.
Any suggestions on the same like which are the potential tables that needs to be taken care off would be appreciated.

Note: we have already tried to take Dev help but this is rejected and i have to try putting a fix myself.
