adop question

 I'm using adop for patching my 12.2 Vision environment for the first time. 
My question is when applying a patch using adop phase=apply and running into problem where fix is a prepatch. How do I fix that? 

In EBS 11i there is at least two ways of fixing this but with adop I don't understand how to solve it except running abort and start over from beginning again (which is timeconsuming)
