JE Date Error after returning to Current Period from Posting an Adjustment in Prior Closed Period

I changed the period from the current period to May 2013 to post an adjustment and then returned to the current period.

During Add Journal Entry (P0911), I received a date error (Warning Message) "Date is in Future Month".

Is this normal or do I have a setup problem?

People say that if I clear the Enterprise Cache, the error will go away.

I did this and the error did go away.
