How to retrieve Account/Contact data from Siebel through EAI

 Hi All,
We are working on a POC to integrate our product with Siebel and pull Account/Contact data. The idea is to cleans/transform the data and push back in SIebel system. We tried using Inbound web service method but its unsuccessful regarding performance when dealing with bulk data. Is there any alternate approach of retrieving data from Siebel ?
