Oracle form 6i to 11g upgrade

Hi,

We are going to upgrade oracle 9i to Oracle 11g R2 database, Developer 6i suite remains same and also windows XP to windows 8 operating system.

Queries:

1. Does Developer 6i suite is compatible with Oracle 11g R2? Do we need to apply any patch set?
2. Incase above approach is not possible, What is the approach to upgrade Developer 6i to forms 11g along with Oracle 11g R2 and also windows XP to windows 8 operating system?
