Set Lead Status to "Rejected" through Reject Code

Hi,
I am looking for a way to set the Lead Status to "Rejected" by using the Reject Code on the Lead detail page rather than the Reject button option.
Note: I am unable to set the Lead Status (to Rejected) through workflows on BMRS trigger.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
