RESCINDING A DELEGATION IN SPRO 9.1

Created a delegation of SPRO workflow for a user for the first week of December. The individual who was to be out of the office for that duration has returned early and can now reassume his workflow/load. The concern here is regarding invoices that have already been delegated to the alternate user can these be "redelegated" back to the primary user? Would that be done using user profiles? If so, would just removing the alternates name and date range redirect/route those delegated invoices back to the primary?
