Automation of Meter Readings from dispatch system

Hi we are trying to automate meter readings out of the dispatch system.  The dispatch system  Wenco, has a sql database.  We would like to use the application to import the records.  Having the wenco system scheduled to do an export to a network share then pick up the file through the scheduler and run nightly R120120z1i.  Has anyone had experience with this process?
