Date validation issue in Employee Information application (P0801)

 HCM community,
Does anyone know if there were date validation enhancements done in 9.0 and 9.1. The scenario I have is in 8.0, the leave begin date could be before the date started. In 9.0 & 9.1, this is causing a hard error.
