ORacle Database Files / ARC Cache Size
Hi
We're running Oracle 11.2 on Sol 10 Sparc, using ZFS filesystems. Am aware of the white paper from 2012 that discusses ZFS / Oracle config. However, what wondering what best practice was with setting the ARC cache. Is it better to set an upper limit, or just let ZFS 'do it's thing'. I'm leaning towards settting an upper limit, but that's just based on some anecdotal reading. The main database isn't that big bu current standards ( around 250Gb ), and running in a T4 domain. We're not getting any performance issues reported, but not convinced everything is configured as well as it could be.
