ODA upgrade bash from 3.2.25 to 4.1.2 ?

Hi All,
Our dev/prod machines are Linux 6 / bash 4.1.2
Our oda box is Linux 5 / bash 3.2.25

Subsequently, none of our sh dev scripts work on ODA b/c of the bash versions being different.
We really don't want to have to re-write dozens of scripts in order for them to work on ODA.

We are considering upgrading bash on both ODA nodes.

What would be the pros/cons of this considering ODA is an engineered system?
(we have asked support too..)

Thank you for your time,
Donald
