Loading data into VCP through flat files

Hi
I have few basic questions regarding the installation of ASCP and Demantra. Kindly enlighten.

1. Can I install VCP 12.2 without any specific source instance. My requirement is to load data into ASCP through flat files and then load data into Demantra using flat files and ASCP.

2. Are ASCP and Demantra available in a single pack of installation ? Or do I need to download them separately and integrate ?
